I'm Akshay Malhotra, a multidisciplinary professional with an unusual mix of legal expertise and policy-making background. Holding a background in Political Science, International Economics, and Public Administration, I operate at the interface of law, governance, and social impact.
I'm a registered advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi and practice constitutional, criminal, and administrative law—advising clients, preparing petitions, and assisting litigation strategies before India's apex courts.
Parallelly, my years as an Aide to the Chief Minister of Delhi and the National Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party have shaped my approach to real-world governance. I’ve led transformative initiatives like the doorstep delivery of public services, managed political operations, and crafted citizen-focused policies.
My experience includes public administration, operations, logistics, and communication strategy. I've overseen on-ground programs, managed media production teams, and established systems of grievance redressal and development fund usage.
In 2022, I was chosen for the U.S. State Department's Professional Fellows Program, in which I collaborated with the Ohio General Assembly to learn about legislative processes and further my knowledge of democratic systems across the world.
Committed to decentralization, inclusion, and institutional change, I work to connect policy to people's hopes. I also love trying international foods and music as a means of building bridges between cultures.
Let's create a more accountable, inclusive, and responsive world—together.
